BATON ROUGE - Firefighters said a family of four made it safely out of an apartment which caught fire early Monday morning in Baton Rouge.

Mark Miles with BRFD said the unit at Crillion Apartments on North Foster Drive caught fire around 6:45 a.m. Investigators said it started in a back laundry room of the unit.

Miles said firefighters arrived quickly enough to save the rest of the apartment building, and the family who lived in the unit got out with their two small children unharmed.

Investigators are still trying to determine exactly what started the fire, though Miles said they do not suspect arson.
