Another crash at dangerous Bluff Road curve
PRAIRIEVILLE - Just more than a month since a driver lost control of her SUV and barreled off Bluff Road in Ascension Parish, killing two children, another driver ended up wrecking in the same area Wednesday evening.
The driver of the a pickup veered off Bluff Road and into a patch of woods at a deep curve about three miles south of I-10. No one was severely injured Wednesday.
In June, David Lanus, 6, and Faria Lanus, 9, were killed when they were hit while they were fishing. Adults fishing with them were hurt.
Drivers have asked to get safety equipment installed in the area, but the state said there are no plans to make adjustments to the stretch of highway.
