Annual Chiefs of Police conference underway
BATON ROUGE - Around 200 chiefs of police from across Louisiana gathered in Baton Rouge this week for their 41st annual conference.
The event started Wednesday at the Crowne Plaza hotel. It's a chance for law enforcement officials to spend time with new data and technology that can help them protect the state's citizens.
Presenters will demonstrate or train officers on the latest computer software, ethics training and personnel management.
Chief Scott Ford of the St. Francisville Police Department is the host of this year's conference.
