Annual bonfires will burn despite naughty forecast

2 years ago December 24, 2012 Dec 24, 2012 Monday, December 24 2012 Monday, December 24, 2012 4:49:38 PM EST in News

LUTCHER- An annual Christmas Eve tradition is a go, despite concerns of inclement weather.

St. James and St. John parishes will light the bonfires on the Mississippi River levee.

There was discussion about cancelling the event because of the severe weather. But, the weather situation is holding-off, and the fires will burn Monday evening.

The event starts at 7 p.m.
