Angola worker accused of inappropriate behavior
ST. FRANCISVILLE - Sheriff's deputies in West Feliciana Parish said they arrested an Angola maintenance worker on charges of malfeasance in office late Wednesday afternoon after he was accused of inappropriate behavior with an inmate.
Deputies said they arrested 64-year-old Danny Daniel of St. Francisville shortly after 4 p.m. on Aug. 13 with assistance from the Louisiana State Penitentiary Investigations Unit.
Daniel, who has been employed at the prison since 2007, was booked on a felony count of malfeasance Wednesday with his bond set at $25,000.
A spokesperson from the Angola said Daniel is no longer employed by the prison following his arrest.
Specifics about the maintenance worker's inappropriate behavior were not released by authorities.
