Amnesty program set to begin in Denham Springs
DENHAM SPRINGS- An amnesty program for anyone with an outstanding warrant is set to begin this month in Denham Springs.
The program, offered by the Denham Springs Marshal's Office, will allow those who have an outstanding warrant to pay their fines and court costs without being arrested or paying any additional fees.
Marshal Jerry Denton's office offered the program in 2012, that helped to clear over 500 outstanding warrants, and generate more than $60,000 in fines collected for the court.
The program runs from March 15 through May 15.
Once the program ends, the Marshal's office will again seek and arrest those individuals with outstanding warrants.
