Americans pumping less gas
NEW YORK - Americans continue to pump less gas every week. The decline has been steady over the past year. The amount of gas used in the United States has dropped by 4.2 billion gallons since a year ago which is a 3 percent decline. Rising gas prices are one factor, the average price of a gallon of gas is up to $3.88, the highest ever for this time of year. But automakers are also making cars with better gas mileage.
