'American Idol' MacKenzie Bourg to be feted in Lafayette
LAFAYETTE - Lafayette native and "American Idol" contestant MacKenzie Bourg will lead a parade in downtown Lafayette Saturday afternoon and perform a concert in Parc International after the parade.
KATC-TV reports Bourg, a Top 5 "American Idol" contestant who's also known for making the Top 20 a few seasons ago on "The Voice," finds out Thursday whether he has advanced to the final four. Organizers say, whether he makes it or not, the parade will happen Saturday.
The parade will start at 5 p.m. on Jefferson Street.
"American Idol" will air at 7 p.m. Thursday on Fox.
