BATON ROUGE - Alton Sterling’s 15-year-old son, Cameron Sterling, will speak out for the first time tomorrow since his father was killed during an officer-involved shooting last week.

The speaking engagement is scheduled for 8:30 a.m., and will take place in front of the Triple S convenience store on North Foster Drive where an altercation between the boy's father and BRPD officers ended in the man being shot and killed.

Cameron is to be accompanied by his mother, Quinyetta McMillon, and family attorneys, L. Chris Stewart and Justin Bamberg. The attorneys will also provide updates on the case and announce that they are also representing another of Sterling’s children, 10-year-old Na’Quincy, in the case.

Cameron Sterling was at the podium with Quinyetta McMillon at a media event on the morning after the shooting and began to sob uncontrollably as his mother spoke about the events that had transpired in the hours prior. McMillon described the 15-year-old as Alton Sterling's oldest child during the press conference.

A Facebook Live stream of Cameron’s speech will be up on our Facebook page during the event.
