PORT ALLEN- More than a third of registered voters have cast a ballot early, and voting precincts were busy with voters casting ballots in the race for mayor.

Slaughter faces "Mr. A" Anderson, Larry Bell, and Richard Lee in the election.

Already, 36% of voters cast ballots early, the registrar told WBR News 2's Chris Nakamoto Saturday.

Polls close at 8 p.m. WBR News 2 will have early voting results immediately on WBRZ.com and live, team coverage of the results on WBRZ News 2 at 10:00.
