"All Shook Up" over musical
A parent in Utah upset about Elvis Presley songs in a high school musical got it canceled for a day and then the school district changed its mind. The criticism was the songs were too sexual. The Jordan School District now says the show will go on with minor edits to Elvis' music and scene changes. District administrators say they got permission from the play's producer to trim some objectionable material from "All Shook Up", and American jukebox musical that borrows from Presley's songbook and William Shakespeare. The production is at Herriman High School, about 20 miles south of Salt Lake City.
