WBRZ - Baton Rouge

All lanes are open on Interstate 12 eastbound at mile marker 17, as of 12:15 a.m.

I-12 east and westbound lanes were closed last night due to an accident involving a car and 18-wheeler. The 18-wheeler overturned and was in the median blocking traffic.

Police said a man was trapped in the car and was transported to the hospital. As of last night, his injuries were non-life-threatening. The three occupants of the 18-wheeler received minor injuries, according to authorities.

Traffic was backed up to Juban Road.
