All lanes now open after 18-wheeler wreck on I-10
BATON ROUGE - All lanes are now in open on I-10 East near the I-10/I-110 split after it had been shutdown for nearly four hours following an accident involving an 18-wheeler.
The truck came to a stop hanging over the edge of the roadway. Fuel was leaking from the big rig to the street below. At one point the truck erupted in flames, but it was extinguished by firefighters.
The driver was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries, but is expected to be okay.
