All in the family
PROVO, UTAH- A 58-year-old woman in Utah is about to give birth to her granddaughter as she serves as a surrogate mother to her daughter.
Her daughter, Lorena McKinnon, says she's struggled with fertility issues and she and her husband tried to find a surrogate but several offers fell through.
Julia Navarro, her mom, stepped up and offered to carry the baby which is due next month.
McKinnon says by having her mom as the surrogate, she and her husband save about half of the $60,000 in costs associated with a surrogate pregnancy.
