Alexander addresses LSU Faculty Senate
BATON ROUGE - The man hoping to become the next leader of the LSU System met with faculty members this morning on the main campus.
Dr. King Alexander is the sole finalist selected by the search committee to serve as president and chancellor of the university.
He currently serves as the president of California State University at Long Beach.
Yesterday, Alexander met with staff members and students in two similar forums to address their concerns.
The faculty senate held a "no confidence" vote on the Board of Supervisors after his selection. They questioned the board's handling of the search and noted Alexander has never worked as a full professor at a major research university.
The board will vote on his nomination Wednesday.
