SAN DIEGO - Alex Bregman appears to be headed towards the Major Leagues sooner than later, and he's destroying all the pitching in his path along the way.

The latest victims: pitchers from the World team at the Futures All Star Game Sunday night.

Bregman went 3-5 - a home run short of the cycle - as Team USA lost to the World team 11-3 at Petco Park.

The former LSU standout began the game with a triple in his first at bat, followed by a double in the 3rd inning.

Bregman then hit a single in the 4th, but failed to finish off the cycle, popping out and striking out in his final two at bats.

The Houston Astros have moved Bregman from AA Corpus Christi to AAA in anticipation of moving him up to the Majors sometime this season.
