LIVINGSTON - Deputies arrested an Albany man with a long rap sheet Tuesday for possessing approximately six pounds of marijuana with several "assault type" weapons.

Chad Lefevre, 32, of 30306 Jericho Dr. was arrested for multiple possession charges including ones for controlled dangerous substances (CDS), firearms with a CDS, drug paraphernalia, and unregistered weapons.

Detectives used a warrant to search Lefevre's home and say they found an Uzi sub-machine gun, AK-47 assault rifle, MAC 10 sub-machine gun, a 12 gauge shot gun and a hand gun.

Authorities say they also found ammunition for all these firearms and several other common hunting and antique weapons in Lefevre's home.

Lefevre's arrest and prosecution record shows he has been arrested no less than 18 times in the New Orleans area over the past several years.

Lefevre was booked into the parish prison and released on Wednesday on a $150,5000 bond.
