Alabama man killed in Terrebonne Parish crash
HOUMA - State police say a man from Alabama died in a single vehicle crash on LA 57 Saturday afternoon.
The crash claimed the life of 53-year-old Danny Thomas of Robertsdale, Al around 1:30 p.m. in Houma.
Troopers say Thomas was driving north on LA 57 just south of the Combon Bridge when his truck travelled off the road twice and struck two mailboxes. Thomas was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown out his truck when the car flipped.
Investigators say impairment is unknown at the time, and the incident remains under investigation.
