Air and Space to get overhaul
WASHINGTON- The National Air and Space Museum is getting an overhaul with a renovation to its largest exhibit, the Milestones of Flight.
It's the centerpiece to Smithsonian and hasn't had a update since it opened in 1976.
The new exhibit will have a more 21-st century look and display more icons, such as a model of Star Trek's USS Enterprise.
The Boeing company contributed $30-million for the makeover and it should be finished in 2016 for the museum's 40th anniversary.
