Ahead of severe weather, meeting to address I-10 traffic canceled
BATON ROUGE - Weather appears to have scared off a discussion about finding ways to solve traffic problems on I-10.
A Tuesday meeting in West Baton Rouge was canceled. The meeting had been scheduled for the evening. It was not immediately clear if it will be rescheduled.
DOTD said the meetings will address possible ways to improve the flow of traffic on I-10 between Essen Lane and La 415 in Port Allen. Engineers hope to present new options to improve the stretch of highway and hear from people who drive the interstate system.
There is another meeting set for Thursday at the Baton Rouge Marriott on Hilton Avenue near the I-10 College Drive exit. It is from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
