WBRZ - Baton Rouge

Adrian Pittman is a reporter for News 2 Louisiana. He joined the WBRZ team in May of 2012.

Adrian is no stranger the south. He attended Jackson State University, where he received a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications and Broadcast Journalism.

Adrian has interned at several stations, including ABC affiliate WAPT, in Jackson, Mississippi, as well as a student with fellowship at WMAQ in Chicago. After graduation, he worked as a reporter and weekend anchor for WXVT in Greenville, MS before going to WIAT in Birmingham. He has reported many big stories such as the devastating tornadoes that hit Tuscaloosa in 2011. He has received several notable awards including the A.P. Award for best breaking news coverage, and was a major contribution to the Murrow Award for WIAT in Birmingham.

Adrian decided that he wanted to be a reporter when he visited a television station in high school. He said, "I could feel the adrenaline pumping as soon as I walked into the studio." He loves the career because he "Can help people, and be the voice for the voiceless."

Adrian currently resides in Baton Rouge. Some things that Adrian enjoys doing in his spare time include traveling, reading, cooking, and shopping.
