Accused killer of one year old boy demonstrates how he beat him
BATON ROUGE - The father of a murdered one year old boy was escorted out of court today.
Demarcus Gray Sr. watched his son's accused killer admit to and demonstrate how he beat the boy to police during questioning back in 2011.
Randy Parker faces a murder charge, accused of killing his ex-girlfriends 23-month-old son Demarcus Stokes.
During his confession he said he was drunk and angry because the toddler wet the bed then demonstrated how he crawled on top of the boy and hit him.
"He demonstrated how he actually got over my little grandchild and beat him like he's a grown man who does that?" questioned the child's grandmother, Sue Gray.
In court today, Parker said he had a poor memory, and couldn't remember exactly what happened.
He claimed the child was hurt from falling off a toilet when shown bruised and beaten pictures of the toddler and said he was play-fighting with the child.
But investigators contend a full grown man standing over an infant, punching him in the face, to be a brutal beating.
The boy's mother, Kimyia Stokes, pleaded the fifth and did not testify in court today.
She remains in parish prison.
