HAMMOND- A seemingly minor traffic violation lead Tangipahoa Parish Deputies to an accused fugitive this morning in Fluker.
TPSD deputies were patrolling the Fluker area Friday morning area when they spotted a vehicle make a traffic violation.
When they pulled over the driver, Dwight Alex Oden, 25, of Fluker, they conducted a roadside interview.
Deputies say during that interview Oden fled on foot but he didn't get very far and was quickly arrested.
While searching Oden's vehicle deputies located a loaded AR-15 Rifle.
They also learned Oden is a convicted felon for prior drug violations in addition to being wanted by the Louisiana State Police Troop L for flight from an officer.
Oden is charged with improper lane usage, no driver's license on person, suspended driver's license, resisting an officer by flight, convicted felon in possession of firearm and fugitive charges.
