Accused drunk driver hits parked cars, causes head-on crash
BATON ROUGE - Police arrested a driver for hitting four parked cars, and hit another vehicle head-on.
Investigators say 28-year-old, Rance Reddix was under the influence when the crashes happened on Thomas H. Delpit near East Grant in Old South Baton Rouge.
According to witnesses he kept running into cars, and didn't stop.
Darryl Bowers says his vehicle hit by the Reddix, and could not believe what was going on.
"I stopped cause I seen him driving all crazy...hitting other cars, so I stopped. Trying to avoid him and all of a sudden he ran clear into me. When he hit me he just laid in the car and when the police came he laid in the car they tried to get him out but he wouldn't respond they had to get him up to put him in the police car. He could've been wasted drunk I don't know he was driving all kinds of crazy," says Bowers.
There were no serious injuries reported from the crashes.
Reddix faces multiple charges including DWI, reckless operation and hit and run.
