Accused drunk driver case heads back to court
BATON ROUGE - The case against the man accused of killing a cyclist last year returns to court today.
Police say Joseph Branch had a blood alcohol content nearly four times the legal limit when he struck Nathan Crowson and Daniel Morris on Perkins Rd. back in January 2012.
Crowson died at the scene; Morris suffered serious injuries.
Authorities charged Branch with second offense DWI and vehicular homicide.
