Accused child trafficker arrested in Baton Rouge
The FBI caught a man in Baton Rouge who's been on the run from Minnesota since January.
27-year-old Byronte Reed was charged with sex trafficking of minors last February in Minneapolis. Reports say he was arrested during a prostitution and human trafficking sting.
Agents say Reed skipped his trial three months ago and fled the state.
The FBI tracked him to Baton Rouge, where he barricaded himself when agents attempted to arrest him.
The stand-off at a townhome on Jefferson Highway and Inniswold lasted almost three hours before Reed surrendered.
He is in the West Baton Rouge Parish Jail. It's unknown when he'll be transferred back to Minneapolis, or whether he faces new charges.
