Suspect in BR bank robbery arrested after failed casino robbery attempt
BATON ROUGE - Police have arrested a man wanted in connected with a robbery of the Chase Bank on Government Street earlier this month.
According to Louisiana State Police, 51-year-old Gregory Chisolm, of New Orleans, was arrested Sunday after he tried to rob a casino in Lake Charles.
Baton Rouge Police said Chisolm will be booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, where he will be charged with first degree robbery in connection with the Jan. 12 bank robbery.
Police said Chisolm entered the bank on that day and gave a note to the bank teller demanding money. He fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and was later identified as a person of interest by local authorities.
