BATON ROUGE - A lucky dog has a new home after being brutally abandoned by his former owner.
"Jimmy" was thrown over the fence of the Baton Rouge Animal Shelter. The man who did it was eventually found an arrested, but Jimmy was left without a home.
Until, Chad Raley and Kaitlin Siener began searching for a pet. A week earlier, Kaitlin's dog died. She'd had him for seven years- and she needed another. They saw the video of Jimmy's abuse on the internet and were shocked he hadn't been adopted yet.
"It was just kind of love at first sight. She really liked him, and he took well to me, so we ended up taking him home," Raley said.
The couple adopted Jimmy and say he's adjusting well to his new home.
