It is a very warm and muggy start to this Friday with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures are in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
We will stay very hot and humid this afternoon as the area of high pressure remains over the Southeast U.S. This will give us mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies just like yesterday. There is a very slight chance for a pop-up afternoon storm too. High temperatures will be in the upper 90s with the heat index around 100 to 105 at times. Keep cool!
We will not have much of a cool-down tonight as the hot weather continues. Look for some lingering clouds with very muggy conditions as the low only falls to the mid 70s.
