It is a very warm and muggy start to this Memorial Day. We have clear skies with temperatures in the 70s.
This afternoon will continue to be unseasonably hot and humid thanks to an area of high pressure sitting over the Southeast U.S. This is providing us with mostly sunny skies once again. However, a stray shower may pop-up with the heating of the day. High temperatures will be in the lower to mid 90s. The heat index will be around 95 to 100. Be sure to stay hydrated if you plan on being outside for an extended period of time today.
We will have another warm and steamy night around Baton Rouge with mostly clear skies. Low temperatures will be in the lower 70s.
