This Labor Day Morning is starting out with mostly clear skies and it is very muggy with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
We will be hot and very humid this afternoon as an area of high pressure sits to the west of Louisiana. This will allow for a few showers and thunderstorms to pop-up with the daytime heating. There will also be a few disturbances that will move from north to south out of the Plains States. These disturbances will aid in developing the thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 90s with the heat index 100 to 105 at times.
Look for a few clouds tonight and it will be steamy with lows in the upper 70s.
