"A Link to Storm Season"
Dale Link has been forecasting hurricane landfall predictions for more than 15 years. Where the Klotzbach-Grey Team of Colorado State University originated the number of storms, hurricanes and major hurricanes in a given season, complimented by the National Hurricane Center, Dale focuses on "Zones" that will be impacted in a given season. Last year, Hurricane Isaac made landfall on the Louisiana coast and Link correctly identified Zone 1 that incorporated the southeast Texas coast and the Louisiana coast. In 2011, Zone 1 was the southern Texas coast from Corpus Christi to Brownsville. Tropical Storm Don made landfall in this region and Zone 2 was the North Carolina coast where Hurricane Irene hit. He also correctly predicted two depressions and Tropical Storm Bonnie in 2010 and Tropical Storm Nicole.
