A.D. apologizes to LSU students over new stadium gate
BATON ROUGE - LSU's athletic director sent an email today apologizing to students for difficulties at Tiger Stadium's redesigned student gate during this past weekend's home opener against UAB.
Vice-Chancellor Joe Alleva said their plan to get students into the stadium easier and more efficiently did not work as expected, calling it "a mistake."
"We understand that many of you weren't able to get your tickets or ID scanned before entering the stadium, and as a result, anyone with a student ticket on their account will get full credit for attending the game," Alleva said in the email.
He also said they met with Student Government representatives and were working with them to fix the situation before this weekend's game against Kent State.
