A chilly morning gives way to a warm afternoon
You will still need that light jacket this morning as the chilly air is sticking around Baton Rouge for the moment. We have clear skies with temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
Much warmer temperatures will arrive this afternoon and you will not need that jacket anymore. The area of high pressure that was sitting over us yesterday will move east of Louisiana. This will shift the winds from the east to the southeast and that will allow us to warm up. We will still be sunny with high temperatures in the lower 70s.
It is not going to be as chilly tonight with mostly clear skies. Lows will drop into the upper 40s.
