The Archdiocese of Philadelphia was hit with eight new civil lawsuits alleging it covered up child sex assault allegations made against seven Roman Catholic Priests. Lawyers say their clients came forward when former archdiocesan official Monsignor William Lynn was found guilty of child endangerment. He was the first U.S. church leader convicted of endangering children by keeping priests in the ministry is got a three to six year sentence. Two of those suing, Michael McDonnell and Andrew Druding, say the abuse they suffered as children still haunts them and wanted to go public to help other victims.
