7 arrested, weapons and drugs seized in BRAVE raids
BATON ROUGE- A number of law enforcement agencies are taking the next step to get rid of group-related violence in East Baton Rouge Parish.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, along with the Baton Rouge Police Department, State Police and the East Baton Rouge District Office executed a number of search warrants Friday morning at locations throughout East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge and Iberville Parishes.
The search warrants are a part of phase two of the BRAVE initiative.
In all, seven individuals were arrested and were charged with drug possession.
Authorities also seized 13 weapons and drugs, including marijuana and cocaine.
The Violent Crimes Unit, Drug Enforcement Agency, Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, FBI, U.S. Marshal's Service, Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office, West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office and National Guard Air Support also helped with the search warrants.
This is an ongoing investigation.
