63-year-old indicted for brother's death
AMITE- A 63-year-old woman was indicted for murder by a grand jury in Tangipahoa Parish.
Hill was arrested in March for the death of her brother after a bizarre standoff where she called 911 on police officers who were trying to arrest her. The ordeal started when Hill's son stopped a police officer on their street and reported his mother shot her brother, Alfred Hill, 62.
The shooting happened in the 100 block of South Second Street. The man was grilling in the backyard when he was shot.
If convicted, Hill faces a mandatory life sentence.
