6 booked in Wednesday shooting death
BATON ROUGE - East Baton Rouge Parish authorities say six people have now been arrested in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and another wounded.
Police said the Wednesday morning shooting was drug-related. The latest arrests were reported Friday - a 17-year-old from Prairieville was booked on counts of attempted first-degree murder and principal to first-degree murder. And two men from Gonzales were booked on charges of being principals to first-degree murder.
On Thursday, deputies arrested 20-year-old Demarcus James of Prairieville, on a count of first-degree murder. Casey Rayborn Hicks of the Sheriff's Office said James is suspected of fatally shooting 22-year-old Jared Christopher Vincent. Two other Prairieville men face related charges.
