6 arrested after drug bust at Gonzales home, 1 still at large

ASCENSION – The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested six people following a drug bust at a Gonzales home with one suspect still at large.

The sheriff's office executed a search warrant on Dec. 13 at a home in Josh Brown Road following a month long investigation into drug sales at the location. The owner of the home is 40-year-old Allen Causey. Causey fled and is still at large.

While conducting the search, detectives located heroin, meth, cocaine and marijuana. Detectives also found a handgun. A 14-year-old was also in the home and has been released to their family.

Six people in the home were arrested:

Paul Howard, 53

Katherine Causey, 37

Timothy Emerson, 41

Benissa Spears, 50

Dana Banks, 41

Enrico Williams, 38

All six were arrested on multiple drug charges. Additionally, Katherine Causey and Emerson were also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

Spears and Katherine Causey have been released on bond, according to APSO.

Allen Causey is still at large. Anyone with information on his whereabouts are urged to call the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at 225-621-4636 or by texting 847411 to the anonymous tip line.
