5th District runoff focuses on Obamacare
BATON ROUGE - The runoff for Congress in Louisiana's fifth district has focused on health care.
Republicans Vance McAllister and Neil Riser are facing off in the November 16 election.
They differ on the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare.
Riser is pushing for repeal of the law and nothing else.
McAllister says that position is pointless with Democrats controlling the U.S. Senate and the White House.
He wants to see Congress make changes to the law to improve it.
McAllister also wants Louisiana to expand Medicaid, something Governor Bobby Jindal has refused to do under the new law.
