BATON ROUGE- Police say 49 pairs of tennis shoes were taken from LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson's apartment during a search Wednesday, including the pair he was wearing when a bar fight broke out last week.

Authorities say they obtained a search warrant for the apartment as part of an investigation into his alleged involvement in the fight.

At this time, police are not releasing the details as to why the shoes were removed from the home.

Sgt. Don Stone with BRPD said Jefferson was home during the search Wednesday. Stone says Jefferson cooperated while his attorney also looked on, but the quarterback wasn't questioned by investigators at the scene.

Stone says the investigation is ongoing and no arrests are expected today.

News 2's Michael Shingleton will have the latest on the investigation tonight on News 2 at 5 and 6.
