40 year fugitive surrenders
FRANKFORT, KENTUCKY- A man called the sheriff's office in Franklin County, Kentucky, with a wild tale a deputy had to check out for himself.
What he found was a 66-year-old frail man who spent more than 40-years on the run from the law who wanted to give up.
Clarence David Moore started crying as soon as he saw the sheriff come into his house. Moore escaped custody three times, the last time in Henderson County, North Carolina where he'd been sentenced in 1967 for larceny.
Authorities say Moore lived in Frankfort for the past six-years.
