$40,000 in synthetic marijuana seized
LAWTELL - Sheriff's deputies in St. Landry Parish announced that they recently seized thousands of dollars worth of synthetic marijuana after a traffic stop.
Captain Megan Vizena said officers stopped and searched a car on Highway 190 near Lawtell Wednesday. Inside, Vizena said they found almost a thousand packets of different synthetic marijuana products.
Investigators said the street value of the synthetic pot was around $40,000.
Vizena said two people were arrested, but did not release their names because she said the investigation as ongoing.
