NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Four former Vanderbilt football players charged with raping an unconscious female student are due in court for a discussion date.

The Wednesday hearing likely will focus on housekeeping matters like the dates of future hearings.

The four players charged in the June 23 rape are safety Cory Batey, of Nashville; defensive back Brandon Banks, of Brandywine, Md.; receiver Tip McKenzie, of Woodville, Miss; and tight end Brandon Vandenburg, of Indio, Calif. All are 19 except for Vandenburg, who's 20.

They have been dismissed from the team and suspended from school. They are out of jail on bond, awaiting trial.

Wide receiver Chris Boyd last month entered a conditional guilty plea to attempting to help cover up the crime. He was dismissed from the team but allowed to stay in school.
