NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police have arrested four suspects in a shooting incident that led to the three-hour lockdown of Medard H. Nelson Elementary School.
A police spokesperson says the last suspect, 21-year-old Ronald Decou, was arrested Wednesday evening.
He was booked on two counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of simple burglary.
Police Superintendent Ronal Serpas said the incident began Wednesday afternoon after officers answered a call about suspicious persons in the area near the school.
When police arrived, the four men ran; one may have fired a weapon at the officers.
Police arrested 20-year-old Joseph Smith, 20-year-old Delmonico Williams and a 17-year-old at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
