ROUGON - James Rogers is in jail with a multi-million dollar bond in suspicion of first degree murder, after authorities say he broke into his father's home in Pointe Coupee Parish and gunned him down.
James Juge managed to tell authorities his son shot him before he died. Rogers' bond has been set at $3 million dollars.
Family members say Juge constantly tried to help Rogers who has a history of run ins with the law. That's why they can't understand why he would turn violent.
Pointe Coupee Sheriff Bud Torres says Rogers broke into the home with the intent to execute his father. Juge was shot four times.
