3 juveniles charged with arson in mobile home fire
Authorities say three juveniles have been charged with setting the fire to a vacant mobile home in Gonzales that spread to another residence, which was occupied.
No injuries were reported in Saturday's blaze.
State Fire Marshal H. Butch Browning announced the arrests in a news release Sunday. The release said firefighters responded to the fire Saturday about 2 p.m. Investigators believe chemical accelerants were used to start the fire.
The three juveniles were charged with simple arson and released to their parents. All three are under the age of seventeen and their names were withheld.
Simple arson has a possible maximum penalty of a $15,000 fine and 15 years in prison.
