3 dead when SUV runs stop sign, hit by big rig
VINTON - State police say three people died when their SUV went through a stop sign and was broadsided by a tractor-trailer on Louisiana Highway 3063 in Vinton.
Sgt. James Anderson says he does not know the age or sex of the people killed in the wreck Friday afternoon.
He says skid marks show that the trucker tried to stop, but his rig pushed the SUV nearly 380 feet into a ditch on the other side of the highway.
