Two adults and a toddler are dead after a two vehicle accident south of Alexandria.

It happened around 4 p.m. Sunday on La. Highway 3170 east of U.S. Highway 71.

State police say a car driven by Cheryl C. Guidroz of Alexandria crossed the center line and collided with an 18-wheeler.

Guidroz and her two passengers, Elias J. Guidroz Jr. and a 2-year-old, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say the truck driver suffered only minor injuries.
