SHREVEPORT- Three men have been arrested in the theft of at least 8,600 gallons of gasoline from Calumet Lubricants in Shreveport.
Police spokesman Sgt. Bill Goodin says officers have been investigating the internal thefts since they first received a tip in March. He says more specific information about which employees were involved became available earlier this month.
Goodin says detectives set up surveillance on a gas station and witnessed the controlled delivery of around 8,600 gallons of gasoline to the station.
He says the owner of the business, Amir Khurram, then paid $9,500 in cash for the stolen fuel. Khurram was arrested Thursday and booked with one count of felony theft.
Also arrested were Kevin Harris and Jacob Morrow. Both were booked with one count of felony theft each.
